IBC Tote approved by the city for human waste, and compliant with the IAPMO (ymmv)

One of the more interesting items that I've seen on FB Marketplace

City Compliant 330 Gallon Compost Processor IBC Tote
    Portland Oregon

Here is a composter/'composting processor' made from a 330 gallon IBC tote steel pallet container, with a discharge valve at the bottom. It was used by the last occupants of my house, who had a city approved composting toilet. Though I wasn’t as good of a person and switched to a normal toilet.

It was previously approved by the city for human waste, and compliant with the IAPMO (international association of plumbing and mechanical officials) / ANSI Water Efficiency and Sanitation Standard. I assume you'd have to go through the same process to get it approved for this use at any other address (talk to the city). But it's great for food/yard waste composting as well. It has a ventilation/aeration system built in (see photos).
