I've loved the whole process of making a practice log shed. If I can do it, anyone can! I'm a web developer from Maine with no prior building experience. Just need to take your time and always follow LHBA's guidelines - they're solid and reliable and tested principles.

Overall lesson: It takes a good chunk of time and money to build log structures but I love doing it (and imagine you will too).

    Well...not quite sure what was "most" expensive...the roof panels were around $40 a piece and I put 6 on my shed. Then there's all the rebar...which is under $5.00 a piece but I needed to get quite a bit of it...plus tools/repairs of tools...it just all adds up quickly. Best to take it little by little unless you have a lot of cash.

    impressive, I plan to do same kind of practice with pier, to train fondation too
