View Full Version : Electric OR hand powered water on the same system

I found this bypass system to be nothing short of genius.
Use the electric well pump, or the hand pump when the

I'm gonna go out and buy 5 or 6 of them they only cost (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) 884.95

and it only works if your water table is less than say 20 ft below where you are drawing. I much prefer my pump into an elevated reservoir. That way even if the power goes out for a few days you are still ok, and you can pump from much lower than 20 ft.

That could be real nice for someone off-grid who has a cistern. (and if you are off-grid, you probably *should* have a cistern)

You probably could come up with something similar for a lot less money.
