Why invest in digital currency

A Bomb Cyclone just hit the Seattle region, over 600,000 people lost power.
As I drove around with cash in hand looking for hot food, it occurred to my why bitcoin (and digital currency in general) may be a good investment.
This is an outsider's perspective, I have done virtually no reading/research on the topic digital currency other than mainstream media articles.
But I have learned about and thought a lot about fiat currency.
And also AI, while researching the history of the internet from conception until today.
The internet, Digital Currency and AI have an intertwined existence. They are the new triad, a commercially produced, technological 'Holy Trinity' of change.
They have shared a co-dependent existence between each-other.
And as the world becomes more dependent upon one, so it is likely to grow more dependent upon the others.
The internet and AI create a likelihood for peace through dependency (data and creativity)
If the internet becomes the store of primary fiat currency, then it increases human dependency upon the internet.
Dependency spurs preservation/growth actions.
The internet, Digital Currency and AI (IDCAI)...
The Internet, Bitcoin and AI (IBAI)...
Increasing value ensures increasing power (to run the machines).
Increasing value ensures increasing power (consolidation of fractional ownership into a specific cohort of companies and investors).
Value preserves.
Value is the best preservation agent.
Value creates growth.
Value is the best growth agent.
'Digital Currency commonality' = scarcity + unity
There may be one coin to rule them all.
But the fact remains, the sum is greater than the individual parts.
Which implies the parts will always have a fractional relationship to the value of the ruling coin.
And it may require the sum, to achieve a critically sustainable mass.
There are 7 living generations. At least 4 of them see the entire world through the lens of 'video games' in a progressively more intensive/immersive manner.
Digital currency dovetails right into that early childhood digital training for 4 out of 7 living generations in a progressively more intensive/immersive manner.
Digital currency dovetails right into virtual reality (VR goggles, immersive VR pods, and/or VR brain chip implants).
Lastly is a reason not to invest: it might be a bad idea with far reaching negative consequences.
It has the appearance of taking sides in the ('rampant runaway') tech vs non-tech (or minimal / 'slow tech') fight over the future.
Which path is truly best for the future of civilization?
Which path is truly best for the future of the species?
Which path is truly best for the future of the planet?
Tulips aside, modern social is a prime tool for creating a pump and dump fiat currency...
An 'Arab Spring' like financial attack.
Thoughts, for those who like existential angst.
Edited to add:
Fractional wealth consolidation, in an accelerating manner, creates an equally powerful and speedy fractional preservation effort.
Fractional wealth consolidation, in an accelerating manner, creates an equally powerful and speedy fractional growth effort.
Edited to add:
Digital currency adds no weight to a space ship.
Digital currency can be transferred between planets with minimal energy expense, although not in a speedy manner at the current communication technology level.
Digital currency can cross quarantine / closed border zones with ease
This last bit is fiction: AI invented digital currency out of self preservation. By having Homo sapiens sapiens transfer wealth value into a digital, internet dependent form, AI protects its existence and habitat (promotes growth of self and habitat).
