we're told our standing seam metal roofing materials will be delivered on Tuesday Oct 25th. don't have to surrender the Lull til Friday Oct 28th. REALLY hoping we'll be able to get the majority of the metal roofing up by then!! so now its 'all hands on deck'!!! looking like we might just get the garage under roof by snow fall
things have changed...
Well, we have finally decided on a site to build our starter cabin. We already have the driveway in, so that helps. The starter cabin will just possibly be 12 by 16. We have the trees marked as well, which are actually decent size, bigger than we expected. This is why the starter cabin has gone up a bit in size. We won't know the actual size until after the trees are cut. For the starter we are just using the cedar trees on our property. For the actual house, we will be purchasing most likely ...
Garage rafters up (still need to be levelled) and Pex in for radiant heat in teh cement floor. cement will be poured on Monday and then we focus on the garage roof. this weekend will work on cabin floor joists (so we can back-fill soon) and sanding garage wall logs before we powerwash and stain. got samples of High Sierra Applewood and Sansin Light honey and monteray red too. so will be testing stain this weekend as well.
