since my last post, we've finished chinking and cleaning chinking off of the logs. since this is just the garage we chose not to sand the log walls. I've been sort of worried that the fussies that remained on some logs after powerwashing would gather dust and really BUG me.
turns out, the brass brush we used to remove the post-chinking mess also cleans up the fuzzies really well!! cool!

we've been getting up ledgerboards, joist brackets and just last week got the last of the ...

"I'm going to blog my whole experience" - A great intention, but easier said than done. I moved into a new position at work last summer, and although I love what I'm doing, it was a big schedule change, its a lot more work, and I don't have as much time to spend on the property. Oh well, life happens.

Had a great chinking weekend!! got 3 walls DONE (N, E, W) and the last side is 2/3 done!! weather was GREAT! THANKS to all who were able to help out:)

by snow fall 2011, we'd gotten the roof on the garage and the floor poured. early spring, we'd been working on getting the walls power washed.

after taking a break in June to put up the walls of the cabin, we got the garage borated and this past weekend we were able to stain most of garage (of the 8 walls ... 4 interior and 4 exterior...we got 7 walls done).

used Outlast Q8 on the exterior and Sashco's Capture on the interior.
