Is there any website that has pictures of Skip's log house in Washington that everyone talks about? It sounds incredible, but I've searched and only found a couple interior pictures and one exterior shot of one wall. I just wondered if they're out there somewhere. Is the person who owns it now connected somehow with LHBA?

You can find a photo tour on one of the old archived websites here (http://loghomeinfo.com/about_skip_ellsworth.htm).

Just took a look at the pictures. I'm in awe. Sensory overload even in pictures. I can't imagine what it would be like to have seen it in person. You just have to keep reminding yourself of the scale. Showed my friend the picture of the house with Bob Johnson's wife in the doorway. The scale is so perfect, it looks like you basic sized cabin, until you see the little tiny dot of a person in the doorway. It just blows you away. Thanks for the link.

Hi, John--

It really did blow us away when we saw it the first time (well, and the other times, too! :)) It's an awesome house. And we think that it really helped students assimilate the class concepts sitting there at that big dining table with the structure all around.

Shame you guys don't get to take the class there, anymore

Sara :)

This would be what I term a monster sized setting for class and a University . lol

Who now resides there? Big - massive comes to mind.
I'm now thinking of getting smaller in scope after looking at this bugger - it would take 365 days to clean,
30x25 sounding better and better. And easier and easier;)

Sure, just follow the link and surf around the old site there.

If you wanna go back even further, you can find another super old site here (http://loghomeinfo.com/index2.html). The old purple one says "last edited in 2003" but I think that might be a bit of a stretch. That site was built around 1998 and had only the most minimal updates all those years. Usually just editing of the big "Notice" box at the top to announce a new class date.

I'd be interested in reading Skip's notes on the law and personal freedom, but the link is kaput. :(

Dewey,

try the link below it called "SOCIO-POLITICAL-COMMENTARY (http://loghomeinfo.com/political.html)"
Skip had some great views on the gov't and they are expressed in the No Tresspassing signs that are for sale on the store page.

I was like a kid in a candy store when I walked into Skips home for the first time.

His "freedom" was all around you there.

my favorite besides the Bruce Lee and Skip pictures, had to be the carved walrus skull, that's something you don't see everyday. And of course the house itself, WOW!
