**Stihl chainsaw recall**

WOW! that's exactly what happened to ours last summer (though ours is years older than the ones effected by this recall....)

There's also a recent gas cap recall too (no chainsaws affected, but several other trimmers & blowers)

This seems to be a high number of recent recalls for them --- hope they are not going to become just another middle ground mass production profit driven only company like many have done before them. Around here they remain the prevelant cs I think but seeing more huskys all the time in trucks.
Anyone ever put up a personal preference and why type of thread on chainsaws? Be of benefit to all the "future builders" out here like me - sometimes a real good price on a saw can be had at the darndest times .... and then ya think to long and it's gone. I've grabbed 2 261s for under $150 each but know nothing about the bad boys so I always pass when I see them
