Looking to buy logs close to Western Kentucky

Hello I am looking or a place to buy logs or my cabin and i am in Paducah Kentucky. Does anybody know of a place?

From what I've gathered in my short time here there seem to be methods for obtaining logs at bargain prices, sometimes even free. Those methods are talked about in the class. I'd encourage you to register for the class.

When I read your post a few questions came to mind: are you building a log home yourself or are you hiring someone to build a log home for you? If your choice is the latter then I would really, really, encourage you to sign up for the class because there have been far too many sad stories about log home scams and/or log home kits being built poorly. With the knowledge gained from the class you would at least be well armed to recognize building errors.

If you're building a log home yourself then it would also be to your advantage to take the class and obtain the knowledge of how to build via the butt/pass method, which seems to eliminate a lot of the building problems other methods of log home building have.

Couldn't you just look up places that sell logs in your area? But, if I'm not mistaken, purchasing logs from mills doesn't seem to be the favorable approach... I think. Maybe someone else with more insight could respond as to why?
