Don't have immediate plans, but I'm thinking something like this would be just about right.

33.7 acres for $33,000 with an old cabin on it. Well dug, electric, sewer. Not any more expensive than a mid-priced SUV. Pay it off in five years, live there while you build. Who knows, they might take $25K.

No idea what type trees are on in it, but you'd hope that 33 acres would have enough.

Obviously you'd have to investigate further. But on the face of it, looks promising.

Makes me wanna pack up the anvils and the baby fungus and move out east. I'm supposing it would be a long drive to work but man oh man that looks like my kinda deal. How's access to the lake?

LHn, stop teasing. There are some of us that would love to see you on an east coast hammer and anvil tour.

Ummm No! I wouldn't buy it! But could you put in in contact with the realtor? ;)

Dude that's crazy I'm moving to New York when were done with this house! You're looking at half a mil for that much land down here in WNC depending on the location. We paid more for 4 acres than that what that 33 is listed for. Of course you would have to investigate more, but with 33 aces there is bound to be some buildable land some where. With the water, electric, and sewer there you are looking at saving 10 to 15 grand on that more or less. If you can cut your own logs your looking at saving around 15 grand give or take. Plus a rent free place to live while building?

I would jump on that in a heartbeat!

looks perfect to me.....does that old stove come with the cabin? dress that up a bit and it would look great in your log home.....even if just for storage.
