Hi all,
I have sandblast my inside log house 2 weeks ago and the result is very afraid
I don't know what can I do to have nice wood ready to staine
Have some pictures where you can see residues on the red pin wood
I have try to remove this whit de orbital sander busch but it's not enough heavy and whit the grinder on the other hand the with residue to be out again near ma grinder pad :mad:

Not sure how this will work on your logs but on rough cut lumber I use a brass wire wheel on a grinder.. Just let tbe wheel do the work and dont use much pressure.. on the lumber it removes all the burs and leaves the saw marks and you can wipe it with rag without snaggs..Just an idea..

Not sure what grit you are using with your sander but I have found a 40 grit flap disk will cut through about anything.

Have tested the brush osburne 80 grid but c' is not powerful enough. On the grinder have try 36 grid. I succeeded have to remove the résidue but it reappears when I sand on the résidue
Can i post pictures ?

Dan,
I'm currently sanding my house with an angle grinder and 60 and 40 grit flap disks. Not sure if they are available where you are, but you should be able to remove as little or as much material you want.
You will not be able to remove the sap stain, as this is usually deep into the wood (2-4 inches). At best you might be able to lighten it somewhat with either a bleach or oxalic acid.
Try to post pictures if you can.
