Hey all,
As I wring my wrists waiting for fall and the next LHBA class, which I WILL attend, I find myself wanting to learn everything I can about building! I'm sure many of you, even the women out there, have always had fond thoughts about building and/or remodeling....probably why we are ALL here! I'm more of a "hands-on" learner; I don't digest from reading as well as actual experience.
I had thought about taking a night class on Carpentry and/or Plumbing or Electrical in my area, but I just found a volunteer program from Habitat for Humanity they have called "Women Build" which I found exciting! They have women from all walks of life help to build homes....even with no construction experience, and they will train! I always thought I would like to help with this organization, but now I have great incentive to finally step out there to help others while I help myself! You can check the link out (below) or check their website to see what locations are coming up near you....:D

Anyways, curious what others, with NO construction experience, have done to learn and pass the time until they can build??? Especially all the women out there....come on, I KNOW we can do this....how have other women enjoyed the log home building???
