Stain Question

Has anyone ever stained their logs one color on the exterior and a different color for the interior? With the chinking to cover the overlapping areas It seems doable. Any stick built house you expect different colors for the exterior and interior. A log home might come off weird and unnatural looking. Then again it might be really cool looking to have a dark exterior and a lighter interior to brighten things up.

I have used a clear coating on the inside. It eliminates the problem of dust and we have coated the chinking to eliminate sanding.
I intend on using a stained log coating on the outside. Sikkens is the one that is sold by my local building supply store. I have several test patches on my well house which I will inspect when I return.
I believe several others have done the same.
