View Full Version : Darkening of walls

I just bought a log house that is 12 years old. The previous owners had pictures and other items hanging on the walls and you can clearly see where they removed them because the walls darkened around the items and left light spots. Is there a way to darken up these areas? (The one shaped like the saxophone that was hanging there is really creepy!)
Thanks for any ideas.

I'd be afraid to try a stain to match, because you may end up with a bigger problem. It was likely sunlight that caused this in the first place, so I'm wondering if you could artificially excelerate the darkening of those light areas with the use of a UV light.

A possible solution is to hang your own thing there, which covers the spots.
