Greetings from one of you newest registered members. I'll make an intro post as soon as I can, but for now, I've been anxious to share this article I read recently. While visiting my family in Indiana a couple of weeks ago, my dad showed me this article from their small local newspaper:

Mills Family heats home with vegetable

With fuel prices continuing to soar, a growing number of Montgomery County residents are joining the ranks of those who won't worry about the cost of heating fuel this winter.

This group won't worry about the cost of electricity, either. Nor will they worry about finding places to cut down trees.

Instead they will buy some corn and be set for the winter..."

My brother who lives in Wisconsin has a corn burning stove and he swears by it! His heating bill has dropped by over 50% and he is using the savings to install a solar hot water heater.
