Does anyone know of a good rubber type sealant to put on logs. My Satterwhite home is about 20 years old and anything that doesn't have a large porch. Is rotting away.

or with you obviously... just very glad I found this association before I had a problem like yours.
rot is caused by microbes. I would spray with concentrated borax/detergent mix first. Maybe several times. then use a wood protecting sealant on them, that breathes. Not rubber, since water inside the rubber will just fester and rot more.

But this may not be the forum that properly answers your question. We here are mostly students of a style of log home building that completely avoids your problem through methods other than sealers or treatments. We would likely have a ton of good suggestions on how to prevent the rot problem if you were about to buy raw land to build your home.
There will be good and bad suggestions from us, but please remember that what you ask is as related to our field of study as a question about your six cylinder motorcycle would be. Some of us really like six cylinder motorcycles but if there are experts amoung us it is by accident and not by design.
Did you buy the home new or is it a recent aquisition? How about posting some photos.
