Rachel,
I read the entry yesterday. It is a great tribute to someone who was a great man.
Do not hesitate to let everyone know when you are going to be working. Even if you don't "need" help let us know when it would be good for us to come by. My wife (whose name is Rachel also) and I really want to get by and help out as much as we can.
Thanks for sharing.

Rachel,
Thanks for sharing your story with us. I look forward to meeting your husband on the other side. My wife and I will be praying for God's amazing comfort for you and your family. Isaiah 26:3
Take care,

Thank you for creating your blog to let the world know your story - the great man your husband was, the great God you live for, and the woman of faith you are. We haven't started building yet, but one of my "what ifs" I had asked my husband about was, "What if something happens to you while we're building?" He said that God would take care of me and the kids, and that he was sure that fellow LHBA members would come alongside and help. I can see that God is sustaining you by His grace, and that you will have help to complete the lovely home that will be a tribute to the man who built it, and his wife who followed him fearlessly.
We're about to move, about to buy our land, and our son may have brain surgery at any time due to a brain tumor (another what-if). But we would love to help you if it is possible.
PROVERBS 31:28-31 - "Her children rise up and bless her; HER HUSBAND ALSO, and he praises her, saying: "Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. GIVE HER THE PRODUCT OF HER HANDS, AND LET HER WORKS PRAISE HER IN THE GATES."

I read your blog this morning and just want you to know you are in my prayers. You could not have honored your husband anymore then you did on the blog. God is going to bring something wonderful out of this horrible tragedy. Darlenes post of Proverbs 31:28-31 is perfect and is exactly what I thought of as I read your blog this morning. Keep focused on God and He will do great things through this.
