My log home is 11 years old now and our family is growing. My thoughts were to create a bedroom above the other bedrooms on one side of the house. Our house is 30' wide with a 16 pitch room - is there enough room to make a bedroom?

2. I don't know what a 16 pitch room is. If you mean roof pitch is 16/12 that is quite steep. but you should not have any issues with bedroom space on the second floor.
3. we generally talk about BnP homes, generally new construction. since the home is already there, it seems that a tape measure would answer your questions.
4. pictures for questions are almost required for us to have any sort of feeling as to how to proceed.
