Funny how a class can change a persons perspective.
Driving over the 90 from Bothell to Cle Eleum has a whole new look for me. Indeed, with every passing tree I am thining..oh look at that group of trees, I see the side of my cabin, and that tree right there, well thats my Ridge Pole. I will never look at a tree the same again.

Funny how you can drive through these amazing forested western areas for years and years and think hmmm nice and green how beautiful.

Now I find myself mentally calculating board feet from breast height on a close guess on diameter and height. ( I think I'm getting fairly good at it)

Went to my Brother in laws place the other day and did a complete inventory of fir and hardwood as a kind of fun event. He didn't have any idea that he had enough to build two, 2 story 30X30 log homes. (not that it is of particular importance to him!)

My life is irreparably changed and thankfully so!
