How! This is a great Web Site. Looking forward to taking this class.

Just moved to VA, the Williamsburg area. Looking to build our own log home. Why are all these trees going to waste? I have noticed that their are a lot of trees down, untouched.

Are all these trees here in VA good to use in a log home?

The trees were blown down during a hurricane on or about September or October of 2003. I lived in Virginia at that time and people were giving them away. There was one guy who had 35 or 40 oaks, that lined the driveway, blow down. He just wanted them moved.
Anyway to answer your question they should still be useable.
