I wanted to take the course in 2005 but plans fell through and life got busy. Years have gone by and I can't get building a log home out of my head. I just want to build a simple square cabin in the 20x20 dimensions with an open concept. I'm not sure if I would even put in a bathroom or just go with an outhouse but I'm sure after I take a class I'll be better prepared to start planning. The students houses on here are just beautifull and to think they most of them have a mortgage that's a fraction of a traditional one is amazing to me. I'm a student at the moment and couldn't take the december classes because of the exam schedule but would love to take a class in the summer or spring break. Actually the next class that the schedule works I'm there. This site really inspires me in the fact that there is a way to get out from under the thumbs of the bankers and have the satifaction of building something of quality. Keep up the good work everyone and hoepfully I'll be taking a class sometime in the next year.
