Like many neo-cons this may affect Solar energy... Here in Washington they called it Juneuary... I have currently had six days of short pants weather his Summer... If anyone wants to call it SUMMER! I am going home to Hawaii where there is still warm weather!!! Dave All of this irrational focus on demonizing CO2 has blinded the world to the real threat, sun spots: Solar activity fluctuates in an 11-year cycle. But so far in this cycle, the sun has been disturbingly quiet. The lack of increased activity could signal the beginning of what is known as a Maunder Minimum, an event which occurs every couple of centuries and can last as long as a century. Such an event occurred in the 17th century. The observation of sunspots showed extraordinarily low levels of magnetism on the sun, with little or no 11-year cycle. This solar hibernation corresponded with a period of bitter cold that began around 1650 and lasted, with intermittent spikes of warming, until 1715. Frigid winters and cold summers during that period led to massive crop failures, famine and death in Northern Europe. Unlike the imaginary correlation between CO2 levels and the global mean temperature, there is a real-life actual honest-Abe indisputable correlation between sun-spot proclivities and temperature:

Maybe they can get closer than the @#$% weatherman!!?? Doubt it, but an interesting subject. Another good reason to be self sufficient.

This correlation is anything but imaginary. I thought we had all gotten beyond the "global warming is a myth" stage.

Lets see:

1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Depression
4. Acceptence.

I thought we were at least in stage 2 by now...

At 5:30 Am, the average temperature in the Tampa area is now regularly 2 degrees warmer than it used to be. You used to be able to set your Hygrothermometer at 78 degrees at that hour. Now you have to adjust it to 81 degrees if you want your Hygrothermometer to be accurate.

Ya know Yuhjn, back in the late 70's when I was a lowly wildlife biology student in Arizona, there were lots of articles about the warming trend by biologists who were witnessing and researching the changes that the warming climate was bringing to ecosystems. Back then, people understood ecosystems and science wasn't political. There were tree and bird and insect migration maps that showed species moving north due to warming trends. Now, these days, all this stuff is stifled for political reasons. Which political reasons? Ask someone with the political indoctrination to argue. Some people refuse to understand science for ideological reasons.
