Is there any reason to choose one glycol over the other? One boat site recommends EG while another site www.dfwx.com recommends PG

1: PG is safer. It won't poison mamals. This is one reason to use it or not to... I plan on using EG.
2) EG is molecularly lighter, this means it is more mobile of a molecule and will theoretically penetrate deeper
3) on a related subject, the glycol (hydrophillic) portion of the molecule is the same in both, the hydrophobic (ethylene/propylene) section is heavier in the PE, thus overall the EG is more hydrophillic, which will help penetration
4) I have heard that borates are easier to dissolve in EG
5) if EG is cheaper than PG, then go with the EG!

Look, listen and learn
I think Propylene dosent kill mold correct me if i wrong.
So its kinda wast to even use it becuse of its expensive.
You know when you coat this stuff.
To make shure a mask is used when you cut the log to add your doors and windows
Dont breath the wood dust i think its like a dobble killer.
And qwestions you might want answered does it emit emissions when it drys in your home.
Most objects do like new carpet and other new items in the house.
I think the only way to be safe is to either not use it ore coat your logs inside with a stain.
But i am not a scientist i think i call the stain company and ask if you coat over this.
Will it make the log safe and will it coat over the ethylene.
When the site first came about this was covered by Ellsworth and the dangerious of using this.
It kinda scars the heck out me now. Do i want use it.
Do you want be 50 or latter in life and go into the doctor and say you got some lung issue.
Other ideas i thought of 1 first bleach and clean the logs
2 I like the orange oil idea and mix that with roach powder
3 Do a mix of orange oil roach powder and linseed oil and wax.
I like to ask some the members that may have used it back the 60 ore 70s if they did.
And ask them about there health.
Its scary we only have one life to live and theres no second chance.
I made it outside in cheep pot only used for it and man that stuff stinks allot. i made 5 gallons just to see what with was like to make.
I used it outside on my 2 by 8 fram of the building i live in now.
As soon as i coated it a bee landed on it and tried it and died right there.

Stressman, I've seen polyethylene glycol on some labels. How is it in comparison to the others?

It's been a bit of a hot subject in the member's forums, and individuals strongly weigh one way or the other. From what I've learned, EG isn't nearly bad as we are lead to believe, but it sure is impressively more effective in controlling wood degradation than PG is. The biggest argument I hear against EG is environment contamination, but it turns out that EG breaks down into basic salts withing a week or two when exposed to soil and air. I fully intend on utilizing EG if I can get it for a competitive price.
BTW, what's the wedding exchange website you posted have to do with antifreeze?
