Hi,
I have seen several people on here that have Stoves and or Fireplaces. This is a really stupid question but is it possible to have Central Air and not central Heating or do you have to have both?

Yes, sure you can. Simply have a blower and evaporator coil. Probably find it as an air handler with an electric heat pack option. Just don't get the heat pack and blank off the opening. I actually have several units where I work that are set up just as that, since we don't require heat.
(actually, having the heat option installed may satisfy code requirements, then just never use it, or only turn it on when you go on a Winter vacation)
