Can anyone recommend books or are there any dvd's available for constructing a log cabin - or does anyone know if there are any log cabin workshops in Portugal ?

Not too sure of schools in Portugal nor Spain.

I've always wondered what a "cork" log home would be like. Probably quiet?


Dick Gmbh in Germany (woodworking and musical intrument making tool/tonewood supplier) used to have classes on log building associated with its school/woodworker programs.
There are schools in Sweden, Norway and Finland. You might find programs attached to universities in the northern countries as a part of historic/cultural preservation.

Portugal, being a member of the EU, education programs might be the best route to go.

Although, I would think that the dollar being as weak as it is, a trip to Washginton State might actually be more affordable than ever?

Or even one of those trips to the Phillipines! Sleeping on the beach at Skip's place must be like a dream. (I dont know if Skip is still teaching down there or not, you have to email for more information on this subject)
