I came across this picture while looking for something else and I noticed the interesting looking floor. Looks like slices of 2x4 or something.

I came across a floor similar to this one once, it was made out mesquite! It was sure pretty but I'm betting there was a pile of burned up saw blades sitting around there somewhere, mesquite is tough!

Peach Pits (pips) floor. I think this looks great! Not so sure how
it would feel to walk on in your bare feet... :-)

I saw a floor on the internet (can't remember where) and it was the same idea but used logs sawed off about 2 inches thick with clear resin as fill, beautiful.

I wouldn't mind having a floor that looked like these tables. Or a wall or counter top.... :-)
I think I like the round ones best.

There are pictures of the round and 2x-ish wood tile floors in our book of flooring we bought at home depot. Don't remember which one it is and I'm not going to go dig through our boxes to find it. Sorry! ;) I loved the look too, but then again, I loved the look of my mom's stained plywood when they took up her carpeting and pad. I'd have left it as-is!

Here's another cool table made with sliced wood.
