Wow, I cant believe what people are trying to pass as log homes these days, and the people were just eating it up!! I wanted to stand on a table and start yelling at people!! the only place that was using logs that hadnt been machined had a big photo album, and they were not using solid logs for walls, or the RIDGE POLE!! the ridge pole had a joint in the middle of the roof on the rpsl! Its crazy, makes me think that when I start building this summer I should have no problem selling!!!

Ohhhhhh, how I know that very feeling, as I'd love to do the same. But then, preaching my "religion" onto others would be like someone coming up to me and preaching the bible whether I'm interested or not. So, I just keep my mouth shut unless asked.

I went to the one in Tampa last October. Modular log-look homes. Quarter log facades on what's really a stick built home. My daughter and I came home with a bad taste in our mouths. We came home and threw out all the business cards, pamphlets, cds and log home magazines we had been accumulating.
