how much rebar on a stemwall?

My stemwall will be poured sometime in the next couple of weeks. I've looked through the book and my notes, and I only see where to put the rebar in pier blocks, but not in a stemwall. How far apart should the rebar (for attaching the bottom logs) be? I'm hoping it doesn't need to be every 2 feet like the rebar in the walls, 'cause that's a lot of rebar to line up when placing that first layer of logs!
I hope to be putting up my logs early/mid/late October, in case anyone's interested. I'm building along US Hwy 50 in Cimarron Colorado (between Gunnison and Montrose). Any members close by? Anyone who's built around there?

I believe the plans show every 48" for the vertical rebar.

I'm sure there's a reason why they're spaced that closely, where if you had piers, it would be every 7' or so. ? .

The reason you can't access the member's section is because you aren't listed as a member. (yes, I know you are) Contact admin.

Rebar sticking up from perimeter wall is 48" oc because I engineer for high seismic areas and in all the other areas it makes the building officials and log home builders have warm fuzzy feelings that their houses won't fall off the foundation :)
