Glueing a log home together

Hello I'm planning a square dovetail log home with12'X12" pine logs.
I plan on letting them air dry a years.
Can I glue my logs together? Construction glue etc.
Possibly those long self taping threaded screw from Perma Chink as well?
What would happen when that dries?
I would like to get away from the chinking on the inside at least.

I think old cabins built using the dovetailed corners were simply held together with their own weight. No doubt, today's building codes will demand mechanical fasteners of some sort. (unless, of course, you're building in an area without codes) :wink:
