After doing a little research it occurred to me that using titles when making posts (and also replies to posts) should really help the forum get indexed by search engines.

I have not used them for replies, but I sure started to this week. If everyone could start using titles to describe the thread / topic that would be much appreciated.

It's a request, not mandate. For replies, it does take switching to the "go advanced" mode instead of the "post quick reply" mode.

Example post made with 'quick reply' button, no title.

Example post using the 'go advanced' button, title added.

Hit 'reply,' then hit 'go advanced' to open the full editor mode.

The use of titles should help the forum get indexed by search engines.

I just realized that hitting the "reply to thread" button, at the lower left, takes me directly to the 'go advanced' view.
Fewer clicks that hitting 'reply' below a post itself (lower right), and then clicking 'go advanced.'

Two separate paths, the one on the lower left is faster vs the one on the right. Like reading (left to right) imho all the buttons should be on the left, cascading straight down.
