As marketable products go:
During Covid I thought up 3 ways to turn trees into rock climbing apparatuses.
If you search youtube for 'rock climbing trees' some interesting videos on the subject should pop up, if the subject interests you.
It culminated in the concept of selling rock climbing poles, as a ship-able product.
Easy to manufacturer.
Cheap materials.
Easy to install, just dig a big post hole.
Sink a few, perhaps three or four in a cluster or a line.
If doing a method involving hand carved holds consider how water runs and pools as though it were similar to a Totem Pole.
If you are using store bought handholds, then either mount to wood or fabricate 'tree climbing tabs' (rock climbing log tabs) for mounting holds.
Rock climbing / log climbing tabs would be similar to tree house tabs.
