There are a few reasons why I made this health / fitness forum.
I've battled obesity most of my life, that's one reason.
I spent about a decade in my 40s loving fitness and then got derailed (I'm contemplating a re-start).
I've known other LHBA members who have battled obesity, cancer, mental health issues. car accidents, et cetera. We support each other regarding good log homes, perhaps we can support each other regarding good health.
But the main reason that sticks in my mind:
I worked a Sportsman's Expo in Salt Lake City... and an LHBA member who lived in that city. who happened to be a nurse, may have saved someone's life.
Because sometimes it's easier to listen to an LHBA member who is a stranger than it is to listen to a spouse, sibling, offspring, friend, co-worker or other family members.
If you ever think you're having a sudden onset health crisis, such as gallstones, a stroke, a heart attack, et cetera, please listen to the advice of 911, or your health provider's consulting nurse service, or first responders at the scene, et cetera. Perhaps listen to the pros, they know the statistics.
I'll keep contemplating resuming a lifestyle that involves weight training. And I don't need a nurse to call and tell me I should :)
