Log post base flashing

Hello. I have a question regarding putting some type of flashing at the base of our wood posts to make them look a little more presentable. We have a fantastic log home we build a year ago but the one concrete contractor was awful. The posts are round about 7.5 inch diameter. I have been racking my brain to figure something out. I don't for sure know the answer but I hope it involves good airflow.

I take black roof flashing and wrap it
