It can be done, and it can work just like the LHBA website says it can.

Patty, Jake, and I have just celebrated our first Thanksgiving in our LHBA home. I sit here at 3:00am by the pretend wood stove, listening to the sleeping sounds of our LHBA freinds (family), Slava and Maria (Slamasha on this forum), up on the loft.

Freinds we would never have met, in a home we would never have had, all due to LHBA.

My special thanks to Skip Ellsworth, and his son Ellsworth, and to Steve. This place would not have happened if not for them. It is a blessing to us that is so very obvious on this American holiday that we call Thanksgiving.

Beautifully said. Great motivation for the rest of us.

Happy thanksgiving!

Spent the day working on my truck. I'll have to make a bracket for the timing belt tensioner spring- it can't be bought, and I already know that all 5 4runners in the local junkyards don't use this set up from pre-1992. I'll get there. It'll just take time.

So I raked leaves, and knitted some mittens for my daughter. :)

Spent the meal with just immediate family. My wife is southern, and cooking a large delicious made from scratch meal is in her genes: rolls, sweet potato casserole, chicken, apple and pumpkin pie, and all the fixings. I'm very blessed - we are thankful for our blessings.

Hope everyone else had an enjoyable day as well.

YES, YES, YES... Happy Thanksgiving!

We are celebrating Thanksgiving this year with most of our family right here wherever we happened to be in the middle of Texas. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201127/389745b1a7bdd60d365a971dd41f3c5d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201127/10787a8f89bc7beb20d163707cd20403.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201127/ff93a9b9df7d515da94f40908d6215ea.jpg

Pan Whats that?

I’ll admit I’m a bit behind on the times being a hermit. We’ve had so much going on this last year with me and throw in the two suicide deer that tried to takes us out a year ago, my focus has not been on any virus.

So, Happy Thanksgiving I believe is appropriate

Be Happy with what you have!

I feel so sorry for the rest of you. We had a most pleasant Thanksgiving with Jake and the old folks across the road (Jam and Martha). We Traegered up a deboned turkey roll with the stuffing inside it. WOW!

So sorry that you all could not have been here to enjoy it.

That sounds really tasty! Sorry that I missed it as well.
We had a table loaded with food and family members (er.....food ON the table....family AROUND the table....to be clear).

I stuffed my self silly and then realized that we forgot the stuffing entirely. DANG IT!!!! We will just have to try it all again tomorrow and try and get it right.

I hope you all had a great day! I am very thankful to be a part of this little community!

Had a quiet one here, my wife was back in Indiana visiting her family. I stayed with the doggy (don't have vacation days left).

I made turkey meatloaf with cranberries inside. Easy and tasty.

We had a great T-day. All 5 kids, their spouses, and all 11 grands. I loved it.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my LHBA friends and neighbors. We will be feasting with friends in a stick house. A very nice stick house.

Peace and happiness to all of you.

I remember when such a holiday post would generate up to 20 replies on the same day.
But we used to have classes in Sept / Nov.
10% of the workforce in South Korea are now robots. (https://www.independent.co.uk/tech/robots-workers-korea-jobs-employment-ai-b2653355.html)

Happy Thanksgiving.

I can vouch that the fully cooked, vacuum packed smoked turkey from Costco tastes great and is easy as a pre-cooked pie to make.

Too many Grandkids! I know you're not complaining.

Every one is a blessing. We'll never be so blessed with real Grandkids.

One of my simple replacement pleasures is playing secret Grampaw. At the grocery store (etc, etc) I'll buy a balloon, expensive sucker, or other checkout stand geegaw (like the kinda crap that we taught our own Son he didn't need), and quietly communicate to the cashier which child or children behind me in line should take it home.

It usually goes off incognito, but occasionally I get caught and have to defend myself.

The most fun I've had doing this has been at Goodwill stores. I'll see some random parent trying to pry their kid out of the toy section, explaining that they don't really need the "New from Ronco, easy bake Kitchen Mama, pretend deep fry cooker".

Then they find that expensive toy that will probably save the next generation of degenerates, waiting patiently at the checkout stand. Yeah, maybe not the same as having a calamity of REAL Grandkids to entertain... But our reading of the Will will be much simpler than yours.
