Finished my build, telehandler is for sale. https://rochester.craigslist.org/hvo/6823237301.html
I'm listing it for what I paid for it, $12,500. It's for sale locally but if any members want it I'd go for $10,000.
I built a 40x40 with it.
The one big issue with it is there is a worn spot on the flywheel where the starter engages. If the motor comes to a rest in that spot, the motor won't turn over. I have always been able to start it by turning the fan blade by hand or "rocking" the motor by turning the key 3-4 times untill it turns over. I was quoted roughly $2000-2500 by a big time outfit to replace the ring gear but never.bothered. Just want to be upfront.

You are gonna regret selling it. I can see that I will need mine around til I am old and... well maybe I'll just need mine til I die.
Just today I got my Isuzu truck stuck and had to hook it up to the telehandler to get it up near the road.

I want to replace it with something like this! It'll be more useful around here..

I feel there's a joke about gravel or gutters in here somewhere.....
I do wish I owned a telehandler though! Day 30 when our rental went back was sad for me. It's also sad paying the rental bill!

Selling your lift Ronnie?!?! U giving up building??
I thought about a bobcat. But they are more expensive and I'm mainly going to be mowing grass and plowing snow. Tractor should be good.

Not giving up building, but 80% of my builds are far enough away that I rent instead of transport mine. So it just sits. If I build local I'll just rent here too. Then I don't have to maintain a machine I never use that is grumpy because I never use it.

Steve W has a backhoe, and he bought a skidsteer.
He has since sold the skidsteer.
Take that as you may.

Hey Thoner, you're kinda letting this thread get away from you.
I'm thinking I will eventually get rid of my backhoes and go for a tracked excavator and a skidsteer.
Of course I'll keep the telehandler.

He sold the skid steer because he didn't also have a mini excavator....I'm guessing

FYI telehandlers are really in high demand right now. I've gotten dozens of calls for it already. May have it sold tomorrow morning.
PS I also have a free mini excavator available for anyone who wants to come and tow it away.
The guy who trenched my well in left it here, broken down, since June.

I'm trying to find out what the abandoned vehicle laws are in my state but since it isn't an on road vehicle there isn't much info.

Is the green crow bar yours too? Wondering where that showed up from....has the guy contacted you about it being there? Maybe call him and tell him of it's still there by Saturday it's getting sold for scrap. Drop me an email and we can discuss it further. I'd be happy to return the crowbar as well

If you didn't live so darned far away, I'd bring a green crowbar and an extra wheelbarrow or two. I'd love to tackle that excavator.

I'll be next in line for that mini-ex if I can figure out the logistics of getting it here... And you figure out the legality of giving it away.

I'll let you guys know what happens with the mini excavator. I'll reach out to my lawyer next Monday if I don't hear from the owner.

Have trailer, will travel. And will return accidentally acquired tools.

I think the safest bet is to give that away to some one a long ways off... Like Oregon.

Wish I would have been watching the forum over winter. I could have bought Thoners telehandler! Let that be a lesson to you all... keep up on the posts even in non building season.

If your telehandler has been trying to keep up with you, it'll be as worn out as you are.

But then, maybe your telehandler will be more industrious than mine, and hence worth every nickel.

I had to go all the way back to the hijack to figure it out.

Me. My telehandler doesn't always go to where I build at. Matter of fact I only use it on about one build a year, which is why I'm going to sell it after I finish my garage. By the time I pay someone to move my lift I'm halfway to paying for a nice new one to be rented.

I am going to stack this summer. Once done, my Telehandler will be for sale out of Wisconsin.
I bought it used out of Detroit and paid someone to haul it to me.
Biggest mistake I made, was not also buying the bucket and platform attachments he had. Still kicking myself for that one.

He was selling an bucket attachment, like a skid steer has, and a metal standing platform.

I still have the pallet you built out of scrap 2 x 6's - Pallet works real well!

Awesome! I think my best pallet was out in Washington state at 2cents build. Sawmill slabs that doubled as a great breakfast table

The platform I built held Ronnie up, and he was still coming out of his winter configuration.
