Since I moved into my log home and spent the night for the first time. Now, if I could only bring myself to finish the trim...

That's why my Wife says she won't move in til the driveway is paved and the rest is landscaped... I am not a finisher.

I would have moved in long before that, I would be happy with 4 walls and some heat...

It's livable without trim...and I still don't have the stone fascia on the outdoor bar. But the bar is stocked, so that's what counts

Stocked bar? When can I visit? I think mudflap wants to pick me up in Nashville and drive us up one weekend soon. I'll bring my trim tools :)

Allen - so in 4 years, I'll be at the 8 year mark of the build, I'll stock a bar for you and you can come out with your trim tools!

I bet if you had a walk-in tub with spa attachments with on demand hot water, she would be in tomorrow...

You don't know her. Stop in on your next trip to Hawaii... we're on the way.

He gives directions like my wife. I hear her giving directions to someone I cringe. I know where the poor girl is trying to get them and I am even getting lost following her directions. Love her to death though.

The main thrust is making sure I know where I am.... it's not my fault if you don't know where you are.

Ok, so, yes, keeping the wife happy is always wise and always my top priority...but it has never dawned on me to prioritize a build strictly in this manner. Not the sharpest pencil, I freely admit. :-/ I may be changing direction slightly and actually making progress as a result! Thanks!
