Just stopped by a place that sells those cute little pre-assembled
cabins. Took a look at their brochure with the prices. They are at
www.minicabins.com. I was a little upset that I'm spending about
$6,000 for my 16' x 26' storage building. I should have done it for
about $2,800. I don't feel so bad after checking out the brochure...
with everything I have in mine, I can have a minicabin put in for
(get ready for this) about $56,000! Guess building for ten cents on
the dollar isn't too bad. Just can't bring myself to spend the money
and then pay it off over 30 years. A little money and a little labor
now, and it's mine. I'll never share ownership with the bank.

Holy cow.. $450 per square foot gets you an unfinished interior, no heat, insulation, interior doors, wheels, nuttin. :? There's a sucker born every minute.. I recently downloaded an audio book call "100 Bullshit Jobs, and how to get them". Just what does an aromatherapist or a fung shuei consultant really do? And how can I make up my own BS Job? Should be an entertaining listen..

Mine came out to $67.47/ft. That is: 830 sq. ft., insulation,
sheetrock, electrical (hard to move boxes around when
juggling a flashlight), and even radiant floor heating in case
we need to store paints, or other such items that don't do well
in the cold. If you live in the big city and have someone build
this in your backyard, then I suppose the price might be some-
what expected. I was just a little set-back at the price.

Hey!! I just figured out my cost per foot...about $7.25!! Should
have been about $3.50/ft with an insulated slip form concrete
and rock foundation, three tab roof, milling my own lumber et.al..
Now I'm really ticked! Looks like good preparation = less dollars spent.
