Anyone here know if I can be late to the class or who I can talk to about it. I'm stuck in Dallas and can't be to Vegas until noon tomorrow .

When you get there you get there. It'll still be worth it.

I've been wondering the halls of DFW airport all night trying to get another flight but no luck. Better late than never I guess.

it'll be OK. the fine folks on the members side will be able to fill in any gaps when you get over there after class.

I can report that Project got there. We had a great time. And, being from Texas, I must admit I was proud to see about 6 or 7 of us Texans at the class. I've submitted my request to get access to the member's forum, so, hopefully, that will happen soon. By the way, I would like to extend a hearty thanks to Bo Fuller for letting me visit his cabin build in Arizona (outside of Las Vegas). It was truly inspiring. Especially the way that his neighbors were looking out for his property when an "intruder" [me] came to see the project. Thanks Bo!!

Yep I made it and no one poked me in the eye for being late. I even managed to stay awake once I got there.. Now I'm almost home and will be building forms this afternoon..

Hey everyone! Another fellow Texan here, there were quite a bit of us in class!
That class was awesome! Thanks Bo for the invite to your place and I'm sad our reservation didn't allow us to make the trip. (We also got delayed in dfw)
I can't wait to hear how all of us students are doing. I know I'm making plans now for my future cabin now!
If anyone is in the Texas area, I'd love to offer a hand to help, I'm only 24 and have a lot to learn about construction, but that class made me feel like a kid in a candy shop.
I'm excited to learn.

I had some plywood left from another project so I got 4 forms built today. I'll run to Home Depot tomorrow and get more materials. I have the pier blocks drawn in solid works so now I know how much concrete each block takes and the weight of each one using 3000 psi concrete. I know it doesn't really matter but I was bored and yes I'm just that anal! Lol

My flight left out at 6am so I didn't get much sleep the whole weekend but it was worth it.

I can get that way sometimes. lol this is what I came up with ..
Mass properties of pier block
Density = 0.08680556 pounds per cubic inch
Mass = 2148.42407296 pounds
Volume = 24749.84532063 cubic inches
