Welcome home folks! Read everything you can and take the class.
The logs for my place came from a spot near Sprague River. If you want a log home and if you want to build it yourself, you area at the right place.

Just got done with class. It was awesome! I'm looking at log cabin pictures through a new lens.
I love gutters for only one reason. I live in Texas on a small farm, and water can be difficult to keep around, so my gutters funnel water to my 30,000 gallon tanks, which help water my vegetables and livestock. 😃

30k! that's a lot of volume! I am doing rain catchment, and I would be tickled to have another 600 gallons!

I was trying to make a 50,000 gal cistern but ran into too many boulders.

I live in Oregon. In 60 years I have never cleaned a gutter.

I can't wait to get mine installed because I'm collecting rain water.
Well, the real reason I want gutters is basically because my Bro doesn't like em. :)

Gutters are fine by me. Go ahead on! So sorry for the mix up and confusion. I think the original poster musta had a typing impediment and I probably read it wrong.
