    But log columns in a basement are much cooler than concrete columns.

    But if the basement isn't set up for nature draining, a basement flood will not be good for a RPSL.

    You guys worry too much about water. If water and logs was actually an issue, all these real log home builders out there would be using larger overhangs. Just contemplate that next time you reach for the tinfoil hat.

    And Ronnie, pain in the butt is temporary. Coolness is forever. At least that is what I told the kids every time something turned out to be harder and took way longer than initially thought.
