    after a long summer

After a long summer of looking at land , I think I have finally found the piece. 6 acres with lots a trees. Looks like I will close in about 2 weeks . Then I will be asking all kinds a questions about presevering the logs. I was late to class and that is the paart I missed.

Also , I have one question ( actually from the enginenerr that did my soil test) has any one run across an infestation of logs where the bug leaves a small ( pencil lead size) hole. It also leaves a very fine saw dust. Almost dust like . Would appreciate any help with getting rid of it . Nice to be in good with the dude gona do my site plan LOL .

I am looking forward to being out there in january watching the trees fall .

Well that is all for now

Yall be well and stay safe

    Carpenter bees

    Carpenter bees maybe?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpenter_bee

We had em this year, little buggers. Borates don't work since the bees don't actually eat the wood, the only bore through it. They seem to have left out place alone since we got everything stained though so not sure if that helped at all or not.

Shark your coming along on your home

    Look, listen and learn

I got those bees around here to.
Ive seen them go threw painted 2 by 8 but i think they need to be recoated.
Was it you shark that they said they bought a badmitton set.
And then practice there back hand on the bees some time back.
i tell you carb spray on the spot will drop almost any bug but a palemetto bug.
I think i have more problems here with the carpenter ants here.
I think i gone build humming birds nest and other forms of nest like bats.
The natts, carpenter ants, wasp, hornet and carpenter bees are a pain.
Its the soft fresh 2 by 4s they love that to.
I had to stain them to keep them off my deck.
Shark what town are you in? My parent live in a town called Celinia and it about 20 minutes from your state.
I took a friend to ohio and he said its all flat and boring.
And then ask how far are you from indiana and then drove it and said looks same here to.
I dont miss the weather there its to dam cold.
If your not to far in i love to see your house if i back in ohio

    Congratulations on the land

    Congratulations on the land Bob.

That hole you are describing sounds like a powder post beetle though there are probably other borers that size. Look that up and you'll probably be able to find a way to get them under control.

Yep the bees & wasps seem to be bad, but maybe that's normal once you get out of the city down here lol.

Chad, we're about 40 minutes directly south of Indianapolis. If you're ever in the area you more than welcome to check it out. We hope to be living in there by next Feb or March.
