    Sad Day in VA........

So I have land, and am waiting for permits to come back, have found some logs, but not the biggest ones around (12-14" diameter) So anyways, I was on my way out to my land today, and about half a mile away from my piece of land I happen upon a BIG Construction Site where they are relocating the road, and what do I see but beautiful HUGE STRAIGHT popular logs, I'm talking 24-30" diameter logs, stacked on a trailer, So I whip in and go to talk to the boss, and come to find out they have cleared 10 acres of these monsters, and having been hauling them over an hour away to a Pulp Mill!!!! and they were down to their last load.....sniff sniff......I wanted to go bang my head against the last load,.. could have had huge logs for Cheap......so now I am bummed.....back to the little logs.......

Wow, that is a dang rotten shame. Maybe, hopefully, they might be able to get you a lead. (or keep your number for the next clearing)

Call up the mill maybe the logs are still there. Ask the boss who sold logs to mill what the mill paid & maybe you can still get a deal!
