Are there any proprietary connectors to connect a timber log piers to dressed timber joists, as there are for timber to timber (e.g., Simpson Strong Tie)? Looking to install diagonal timber bracing on an existing home which has round piers supporting a traditionally framed timber home to add stiffness against sway. At present, among other thoughts, am considering designing semi-circular steel plates to partially jacket the piles to enable a connection to the timber diagonal but this would be overkill for connector strength, aside from the cost.
