    2018 -- what a year

    Happy New Year, everyone!
for us, 2018 exceeded our wildest expectations. For the first time since we started our LHBA journey we actually accomplished everything on our to-do list.
    this year we
got propane run to the cabin
got the last of the cabin's windows (9) and doors (3) in
got the basement slab poured (with in floor radiant heat )
got the well's pressure tank moved into the cabin
started heating the cabin (in floor radiant, propane fireplace, wood burning fireplace)
    laid the main floor's 2x6 DF T&G
made the staircase from first floor to loft
did interior framing of the rooms in the loft
    installed hot water heater
    installed whole-house water filtration system
moved from the trailer into the cabin
because we have heat, we're still able to work on electric and plumbing; should have functioning toilet in a couple of weeks !

looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings. We're very grateful for all God allowed us to achieve this year.

Happy, safe, healthy new year my friends.

Happy New Year! Quite the year it was. Sounds like you killed it in 2018 Panderson… Here's to 2019!

    I feel so inadequate...

Congratulations on being able to remember everything you accomplished in 2018... and the good work too.
Every time I have strayed from the teachings of Skip Ellsworth it has cost me money.

I love the mask mandate. I hardly ever have to bruh my teeth anymore.

thanks. sure does feel good. i must confess though, we poured more money into the build this past season than in all the other years combined.
we paid a team to pour our cement slab, paid a well guy to move the pressure tank, and paid a plumber to install the boiler and get the in floor heat running (paid the same guy to run propane to the gas fireplace and install the hot water heater), not to mention buying the fireplaces and other stuff
feels good though. not sure we'll be able to top it.

and Mr Nut, you're WAY farther than we are in electric and plumbing, so no need for you ever to feel inadequate

Wow! That looks like the list I hopefully make at the beginning of every build season and try not to look at when the season is over... If I can cross out one or two things it feels like a good year!
