You mean this thread you started back in March 2015?

    I think we did respond.

As for "notifications", you won't get any. Notifications are disabled on this forum (to keep down the email spam - we are all too busy building houses to read email!).

Not sure about any books; but, a quick Google-Fu and here's a good 3m video that pretty much goes over the entire structure. Listen closely to each sentence, a mountain of info in each one.

Without taking the class, here's how you get more info:

But yeah, reading all the books in the world isn't going to get you the overall-build-knowledge you need to complete an entire house. Let's see. Say you buy 3 books on "Butt-n-Pass", 2 on roofing, 3 on foundations, 2 on interior framing, 2 on dry wall, 2 on plumbing, 4 on electrical (you want to be safe, right?), and so on... Wow, that's the cost of the class right there!

    EDIT: fixed url

I'm with John... Take the class.

Read and practice all you want but the real benefit of joining LHBA is access to the member's side of the forum. It's the only way I'd do it. My Brother Bo and Cousin Tom did it also.
Every time I have strayed from the teachings of Skip Ellsworth it has cost me money.

I love the mask mandate. I hardly ever have to bruh my teeth anymore.
