    A Blast from the Past!

    2008 snowman 002.jpg

I finally was able to get ahold a few of these from my friend Steve Krook that ran an open luge run at his home for over 30yrs. The hound doggy trained in here as he greeted several thousand people his first winter. Fred's surrogate mom "Cleo Patras" is next to him. She would sing with us while we played our horns, Fred never learned that trick... but he got a treat anyways.

"Krook's Run" We made many Snowmen on the hill through the years, along with many other snow structures. The "Hill" was over 800', in a curved, iced, luge style. It took Thousands of man hours to make this work and not one penny was made by anybody, donations just started to cover the costs of hot chocolate alone when the hill closed in 2010.

I talked to Steve today and I'm going to get the picture file from him, I'll set up a site and will get the pic's up there.

May the Holiday Spirit continue throughout the Year!

Now THAT is a snowman! I'm always sad to hear of or see a tradition end, but hope that new ones are being formed so the younger generations will have wonderful memories of their youth, as most of we do.

This has been a great thread. I like all the pictures of log homes at Christmas and the families.

Keep building all those log homes in 2013. It will be a wonderful year if we make it so. LHN remember why you do all you do and what is important to you and you can work it all out.

This was my only way out until a couple of weeks ago I had almost 2 weeks of snow and couldn't get out which normally wouldn't be that much of a problem but my good friend and exwife pasted away and I was stuck here I didn't want something like that happening to me again

    Merry christmas 2013...

May I be the first to wish the rest of us a safe and happy Christmas. Hope you're all with folks you love and have nothing but pleasantries in your lives.

It is that way in the Nut household.
Every time I have strayed from the teachings of Skip Ellsworth it has cost me money.

I love the mask mandate. I hardly ever have to bruh my teeth anymore.

We are truly blessed this holiday season. Having my kids and wife at my side is the best feeling in the world. Add to that, this family makes a world of difference every day of the year.

    Happy holiday season to all.

    Merry Christmas to all,
Here we have been celebrating Christmas for 4 days starting with the weekend family reunion for Mom's 90th BD 36 in all from Seattle, Saginaw, Travers City, Atlanta, Columbus OH, Nashville, Knoxville, Asheville, and Hendersonville NC. It was quite a celebration. First time all 10 grandchildren had all been together ever. They are in ages from 43 down to 18 years old. All 12 great grands were there as well, first time ever. Ages 10 months to 11 years old. Fortunately we had the use of the church Gym, with kitchen and sleeping rooms, for the weekend in the pouring rain. Made for a great time for all. Brother rented a great big RV and hauled all 12 of his crew down from MI and OH.

Merry Christmas to all! We are in Southern CA and it's 85 degrees! Not a white Christmas but it's with family, so it's the greatest!
