There are lots of gaps, you just can’t see them very good from so far away.

I just saw someone selling a mobile home in my area for $1000 and you come get it. It was a 1997 14x80 that came with the property and new owners wanted it gone. I know this isn't in your area but...

If I could have gotten a full basement poured for $20k I would have jumped on it. The best price I got for a 45'x45' stem wall was $22k so I decided to do pier blocks instead. It was a lot more work...
You could always do a wrap around porch. That would keep your walls dry. Just another option
