yeah, lots of non-log home building stuff going on- freezing weather not helping either- can't get the stain on or fill in the bee holes when the wood filler is frozen.

also, fixing engine on my truck keeps getting more complicated. one problem was I cracked (or maybe discovered a crack) on the corner of the head- had to take it back to the engine shop to get it welded, then order another new head gasket. Another

alrighty folks. this is the one all you telehandler sissies have been waiting for (just kidding- I would've used a tele if I had the money). Anyway, it's a post about using ropes and knots to build a cabin. includes my own photos of the knots, and videos. But y'all are boy scouts already, so you already know these knots.

Latest and greatest. Wife wanted me to wait until the shingles are done, but there's too much going on - if I waited, the next post might be a book, so here you go.
